Nero Start and TuneItUp does not Work or is Blocked by an Antivirus program. What Can I Do?

Since Jul 30, some customers reported that antivirus programs e.g. Norton, Avast etc. reported Nero program (Nero Start, Nero TuneItUp and Nero Info) as PUA or PUP. These antivirus programs prevent Nero from running, and even delete the desktop shortcuts.

Nero is contacting the antivirus program vendors regarding these false positive reports.

In the meantime, you could restore your Nero program in the following way:

If Nero program is being quarantined, you can configure your antivirus software to restore Nero and allow the Internet access. See Norton as an example: How to restore a file that was mistakenly identified as a security risk, How to allow Internet access for a blocked program.
If Nero programs were blocked and deleted, you can download the current version from https://www.nero.com/download.php?id=nerocore_full_installer and install it directly. The installer will recover Nero Start and Nero Info.
For TuneItUp, please uninstall it from Control Panel firstly, then install from Nero Start Update Center -> Instals tab.
