1. First, try connecting Recode Stick to another USB port and restart the recording software (e.g. Windows Camera). If the problem persists, proceed to step 2.

2. Check your microphone settings:

    a. Go to Settings > Sound on your computer.

    b. Under Input, select "Microphone (2- AV TO USB2.0)".

    c. Test the microphone to ensure it’s working properly.
 

3. If the microphone still fails in step 2, reinstall the audio driver:

    a. Open Device Manager (Computer Management > System Tools > Device Manager).

    b. Expand "Sound, video and game controllers".

    c. Right-click "AV TO USB2.0" and select Uninstall device.

    d. Click "Action" > "Scan for hardware changes" to reinstall the driver automatically.
