If below error message is shown, it indicates these files are missing from Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x86) .
- MSVCP140.DLL(or similar file named as MSxxx140.dll) is missing
- api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing
Please try below steps:
- Open the control panel - Uninstall a program
- If Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable (x86) exists, please uninstall it.
- If Microsoft Visual C++ 2017 Redistributable (x86) exists, please uninstall it.
- Open https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/vs/older-downloads/, under Redistributables and Build Tools, find Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2017, select option x86 , and click Download Button. (Nero software depends on the x86 Redistributable. x64 Redistributable will not help)
- Install it.
- After installation, restart the system.
- Run Nero application again.
