How to burn .mp4 or .avi movies to DVD so that they play on a DVD Player?

To burn a video disc, you need the program Nero Video. Here are instructions on brief steps to burn a DVD-Video:

Open Nero Video and select the option to burn DVD-Video.
Import your *.mp4 files to Nero.
Make a menu for the disc and preview it.
Burn your DVD-Video Disc.
