What Nero product did you buy on Amazon?
When you purchase a Nero product on Amazon or other third‑party platforms, you do not receive the software itself. Instead, you receive an activation code (a string of letters and numbers). This code will be used to permanently bind the corresponding Nero product to your Nero account (email address).
Step 1: Redeem the activation code (required)
Install Nero Start and log in to your Nero account.
– If you don’t have an account yet, register one for free using your email address.Find the page where you can “Enter activation code”.
Enter the activation code you received from Amazon and click Confirm.
After successful redemption, the product will immediately appear under your Nero account.
✅ Once redeemed, the activation code becomes invalid and cannot be used again. The redeemed product will be valid.
Step 2: Download and install
Download and install the software from Nero Start after logging in to your Nero account.
Reinstalling Windows or changing your computer? Only the email for your Nero account, no activation code needed again
Many users worry: “What happens after I reinstall my system?”
Correct approach:
On the new system, install Nero Start (or the Nero software directly).
After launching Nero Start, log in to your Nero account (email + password).
All your products will be listed automatically – just download and install them. They will work without any further input.
You do NOT need to:
Enter the Amazon activation code again (it is already invalid).
Purchase the product again.

“If I delete my account, I can reuse my old activation code, right?”
This is completely wrong and has serious consequences:
When you delete your account, all products bound to that account are permanently lost.
The used activation code remains in an “invalid” state and cannot be redeemed again on any new account.
Nero technical support cannot restore products from a deleted account.
One sentence to remember:
The activation code is a one‑time voucher; your account is your safe. Do not delete your account in an attempt to “reuse” an activation code – that will only make you lose both the code and the product.
