On Mac OS, you could use QuickTime Player to record video. 

1. Connect your video source (e.g. VHS and DV, etc) and Recode stick with Mac via a USB adapter. 

2. Run QuickTime Player, click File menu, click 'New Movie Recording'.

3. In the Movie Recording window, click the drop down menu besides the big red record button. Select device 'AV TO USB2.0'.

4.  QuickTime Player could only record the microphone audio. So please mute the sound if you don't want to record the microphone audio.  

5. Click the red button to start recording the video.
