When you fail to install or update an application in Nero Start, you can try the following methods to solve it.

Nero applications(e.g. Nero MediaHome, Nero Recode...) installation failed


Solution 1

  1. Restart Nero Start.
  2. Go to "Updates".
  3. Click on the button "Check for updates".
  4. Downlad and install Nero applications one by one instead of updating them all. 


Solution 2

  1. Open Nero Start.
  2. Click on the first icon in the upper right corner.
  3. Select "Options".
  4. Expand "Install & Online Update".
  5. Modify the "Install location for Nero products" and "Temporary files" path.
  6. Switch to another disks such as D: disk or E: disk.
    NotePlease avoid saving to a path containing symbols, spaces, or special characters.
  7. Click on the button "Apply".
  8. To download and install the application again, go to the page "Updates".


Solution 3

  1. Click on the first icon in the upper right corner of Nero Start .
  2. Select "Options".
  3. Expand "Install & Online Update".
  4. Click on the button "Delete" which is behind "Temporary files".
  5. To download and install the application again, go to the page "Updates".
Nero 2020 installation failed


Solution 

Please download Nero 2020 full installer package from here, and then double-click the downloaded installer to start installation directly.


Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable(x64) installation failed

Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable  (x64) - 14.23.27280 from

Manual install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x64).


Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 installation failed


Solution 

Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 from 

https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/thank-you/net472-offline-installer

Manual install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2.
